Travelling Gallery on campus this Friday 25th September
Travelling Gallery - Scotland鈥檚 contemporary art gallery on a bus - will be on campus this Friday presenting the Autumn programme: User Interface: Coded Craft a group exhibition bringing together contemporary craft artists and makers whose work sits at the interface between digital technology and traditional handcraft. The artists featured use technology to expand their practices, with a shared focus on looking at how contemporary craft can play a significant role in pursuing ecological innovation for a more sustainable future.
The exhibition features new and recent work by Jeni Allison, Naomi Mcintosh, Lynne MacLachlan, Liu Qiwei, Aymeric Renoud, Soorin Shin, Sanne Visser, Silvia Weidenbach & Sandra Wilson.
The exhibition will be on the main concourse and open for all to enjoy from 10am - 2pm. The visit has been organised as part of the MA Arts, Festivals and Cultural Management programme.

Book a free, confidential, one-to-one session with our RLF Fellow to help you strengthen your academic writing.
Sessions last 50 minutes and can be in person or online. Whatever your subject or level of study, the RLF Fellow will work closely with you to identify where you can develop your skills and how you can sharpen your writing.

Student Support
夜色直播 use the online platform , to support students wanting to report and/or seek support for various forms incidents involving bullying and harassment, rape and sexual assault, stalking, discrimination, online abuse and hate crime they have experienced. The platform provides information and advice to students as well as links to one-to-one professional support and routes to reporting. 听
We have now extended the use of Report and Support to also cover any incident that happens on placement. This is to ensure students have an easy way to report any incidents that happens on placement so that the appropriate action can be taken. Reporting Incidents on placement on Report and Support ensures that students get the support and guidance they need. However, incidents on placement will still also need to be reported to the placement provider as they are responsible for any investigation taking place and any actions taken.听

Student Services may share information about individual students in order to support students effectively, resolving any issue that the student has raised or respond to concerns regarding a student鈥檚 welfare. There are some circumstances where we have to disclose information without your consent such as; if there is a requirement in law to disclose; or f it is considered that there is substantial risk of harm to you, or a third party if information is not disclosed.

Parking on Campus
We would like to remind everyone that the University car park is particularly busy at the start of the semester. Due to high demand, we cannot guarantee parking spaces for all users. To avoid inconvenience, please arrive early and be prepared for potential queues. You may also wish to consider alternative options such as the Park and Ride at Newcraighall, which is within walking distance of the campus and connected by direct bus services. Additionally, we encourage you to explore public transport and sustainable travel options.

Parking in Local Areas
It is important that staff and students respect our neighbours and adhere to parking restrictions in the local areas surrounding our campus. Please note that parking on 夜色直播 Drive is not permitted, and enforcement is carried out by East Lothian Council on all roads surrounding the campus. Additionally, parking on kerbs, footways, and verges is not permitted as it is unsafe and causes damage.
Musselburgh Railway Station Car Park
Parking is only for ScotRail customers using Musselburgh Station. Non-customers using the station car park may be subject to enforcement action by British Transport Police under The Railway Byelaws. Those parking outside of marked bays, on double yellow lines, or in disabled bays without a Blue Badge will be fined.
Musselburgh Controlled Parking Zone
To ensure that our neighbours can access their homes, parking within the residential streets adjacent to the campus is controlled by East Lothian Council through limited waiting times and permits. To avoid receiving a 拢100 penalty charge notice, drivers should comply with the restrictions indicated by the signs and markings displayed on the streets. Further details can be found . For the benefit of our neighbours, please respect these restrictions and refrain from parking in residential areas around the campus.

A Reminder about Attendance Monitoring at 夜色直播
The University uses SEAtS (Student Engagement and Academic Timetabling System) to record and monitor attendance for in-person classes. 夜色直播 expects students to keep their attendance at 70% or above (per the Student Attendance and Engagement Policy).
Simply scan the QR code on the SEAtS app to check in!
1. 听Download the SEAtS app from your phone鈥檚 app store
2. 听 听Login to the application using your 夜色直播 email and password
3. 听 听Find your timetabled session in the calendar section and click "Tap to check in"
4. 听 听Scan the QR code provided by your lecturer
Remember, your personalised timetable should be used to see your class schedule, and the SEAtS app should only be used to check in to sessions.
We know life can be unpredictable and 夜色直播鈥檚 attendance threshold allows for occasional absences due to illness or personal circumstances. Please remember to complete an Absence Form via the for any missed classes.

Are you're curious about how social enterprise could help you build a flexible, fulfilling career while making a positive impact?
Ready to RISE is a free 8-week programme designed for women and non-binary people across Scotland who want to explore social entrepreneurship and use their skills and ideas to create positive change in their communities.
Supported by the Scottish Power Foundation, the programme will help participants:
鈥 听 听Build confidence and develop entrepreneurial skills
鈥 听 听Explore ideas for social enterprise
鈥 听 听Create a health work/life blend
鈥 听 听Learn how to manage themselves and others effectively
鈥 听 听Grow their networks and connections
鈥 听 听Receive practical guidance on starting a social enterprise
The programme is delivered online via Zoom on Wednesdays from 10am - 12.30pm.听
Participants may also be eligible to apply for up to 拢1,000 in grant funding to help develop and progress their idea.

Please be aware that a number of planned projects will be taking place across the campus during the remainder of July and throughout August.
1. District Heat Network Repairs
鈥 听Engineering works will be carried out at various locations across the campus.
鈥 听 听Access to the Service Road will be restricted at certain times.
鈥 听 听There may also be temporary restrictions to vehicle and pedestrian movement within the car parks.
2. Digital and Graphic Design Studios
鈥 听 听Room 1127, located at the end of the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), is being converted into a new studio, to support the new course.
3. Level 0 Corridor Works
鈥 听 听Alterations are being made to a number of rooms to support the expansion of CDC courses.
For your safety, please follow all signage, barriers, and instructions in place, and do not enter any designated work areas unless authorised by the Estates team.

English Language Summer Schools 2026
We are delighted to be welcoming our English Language School Groups back on campus from Tuesday 30th June. The language students will be our guests over the summer period and will stay on campus.
We will have a small number of students arrive on Tuesday (around 50) followed by approx. 600 arriving between 1st & 2nd July. We will not have any students staying during August.
Our language school business provides a great opportunity to generate significant revenue from our facilities during the summer months and raises awareness of 夜色直播 internationally. Most students who will be with us this year will be coming from Italy, albeit there are also groups coming from Greece, Russia and Argentina.
We are expecting it to be very busy on campus during July, so we would like to thank you in advance for your patience and help in making our guests feel welcome during their stay. This will ensure that they return home with a positive impression of Scottish hospitality and 夜色直播.
Catering for the students will be provided within Guthrie鈥檚, and the catering times for the students are as follows:
Monday 鈥 Saturday
Breakfast: 7.30am 鈥 9.00am
Lunch: 12.30pm 鈥 1.45pm
Dinner: 5.30pm 鈥 7.00pm
Sunday
Breakfast: 7.30am 鈥 9.00am

Tuck Shop & The Hux
There will be a Tuck Shop offering for the language students which will be located in the Nook space, serving Frappes, juice, and snacks. It will only be open for the language students breaks. They break from their classes at the following times, and it is anticipated that both the Tuck Shop and The Hux will be busy during these times:
10.30am 鈥 11am
3.30pm 鈥 4pm
Please note that the coffee machine in The Nook will not be accessible as of Sunday 28th June until the end of July. Coffee & hot drinks can be purchased from The Hux and Maggie鈥檚.
Catering Areas for Staff & 夜色直播 Students
The Hux will remain open and will operate from 8.30am to 4pm daily.
Maggie鈥檚 will still be open for all to enjoy, but we would anticipate the outlets to be busy between 12pm and 1pm and would ask you to plan your lunch accordingly.
The vending machines, which are currently located within the Nook, will be fully accessible during campus operating hours.
The Piano Bar space will also be available for 夜色直播 staff and students only (subject to events taking place) if you are looking for a quiet space to enjoy your lunch. If there is an external event taking place, signage will indicate this.
If you have any queries at all about the language schools, please don鈥檛 hesitate to ask.

The Resit Support Programme will be running from Monday 22nd June 鈥 听Friday 10th July this year. This is three weeks of flexible 1-1 support (online options available) to help you succeed with resit exams and assignments. You will be able to:

鈥 听 听Reflect on areas to improve and develop your skills.
鈥 听 听Identify resources to draw on to support your own learning goals.
